DIV Protocol aims to revolutionize sensitive document storage

Updated: Oct 1

Founded by three young entrepreneurs from Haute-Savoie in February 2023, the startup DIV Protocol offers an innovative digital document management solution aimed at protecting and securing them.

Cyber hacking has become a recurring problem for companies. This observation led three young people from Haute-Savoie to create DIV (for Digital Identity Vault) Protocol. Their objective? To design and market a solution capable of protecting digital data from cyberattacks. Their technology is notably based on blockchain.

A fundraising in preparation

"I was using cryptocurrency individually for speculative investments. As I became interested in blockchain technology, I had the idea to use it to secure data. So I developed a first protocol," explains Gaspard Bonnot, the originator of this innovative startup based in Pringy (France - Annecy). In June 2022, he shared his idea with two of his friends, David Buffet and Solan Després, who are also 17 years old and students like him at Lachenal high school in Argonay. In one year, the team set up their project and initiated the process to file a European patent.

DIV Protocol is the result of hard work. We are three founding partners who have combined our knowledge to create a unique data decentralization platform. We were joined by two developers and an engineer in early September.

"Currently, we are working on this project," continues Gaspart Bonnot. A project that targets clients in the banking sector, notary services... "All those who have sensitive documents that need to be stored in a very secure manner. In an era where data security is at the heart of concerns, we aim to give everyone control over their own information, thanks to blockchain technology," he adds.

DIV Protocol notably offers a very specific digital vault protecting all essential documents: birth certificates, identity cards, driving licenses, etc.

The young entrepreneurs have completed the Beta 1 version of their software and are aiming for commercialization by 2025.

"We are currently preparing a fundraising to continue our development"

Gaspard Bonnot further specifies.

The databases to be secured in the commercial, public, or private sectors are so vital that these three musketeers of blockchain technology should quickly make a name for themselves in the world of IT security.
